We had a leak in a basement shower at the drain. The shower had been installed by the previous owner – a do it your seller with more enthusiasm than skills or knowledge. He had installed the drain pipe completely incorrectly so that you could not make repairs through the drain hole and he had then completed the cosmetic part of the installation in a way that essentially made it impossible to approach the drain from underneath without dismantling quite a bit of tile and framing. We had begun the dismantling ourselves and that was when we discovered that there was no way we were going to be able to reach the drain ourselves. We called in the plumbers. Bubby’s plumbers tackled this nearly impossible job with patience and professionalism. I was completely amazed that they were able to find a way to repair the leak. I was expecting that they would tell me it could not be done and that replacing the whole shower unit with a proper installation would be the only possible solution.
